Now we all know windows has launched its latest product, an elegant and efficient new Os Windows 11. It’s hype is well deserved since it’s new features improve not only official and business workflow, but even makes daily tasks easier… such as writing an article.
And I am sure there are others too who can’t afford a more compatible PC but would like to try the new gen OS. Not to worry, Carl, not to worry, reader… we’ve got you. In this article, we shall be going over:

FEATURES OF WINDOWS 11
Apple and Google have been firing away successful products at the market for quite some time now and so as a cry to battle, windows has granted us a new OS… something that can finally get window user excited again!
Windows 11 offers a new beautiful interface with rounded corners like Mac but it runs mostly the same apps as windows 10. There are some notable new features, i suggest the ones worth mentioning:
- Beautiful and elegant user interface
- Efficient security features
- Great layout
- Better video gaming options
- Can run android apps
- Supports widgets
WIDGETS SUPPORT
Widgets, as I just mentioned can also be added to windows 11 that are, put simply, shortcuts to get small tasks done like knowing the weather, what’s on the news, to-do lists etc. Third party sources can also add their widgets here.
Put in a nutshell, windows 11 is admit tingly a work in progress that takes its users on an exciting new adventure… but a short one.
Many apps and features are similar to windows 10, but the new lineaments sure look commoving and promising, but, how to install windows 11 on unsupported hardware, believe me, this is possible with some registry tweaks.
LIMITATIONS OF AN UNSUPPORTED PC
Now, before we embark on this journey, it is only fair that I give you a warning of what to and what not to expect.
Microsoft does not recommend its users to install windows 11 if their pc is not compatible. Such pcs run a risk of malfunction and are likely to run into compatibility issues.
The pc will no longer be supported and it will no longer receive future updates. Windows has already published a disclaimer for users who decide and how to install window 11 on unsupported hardware that you can view here.
Even if your pc is able to install windows 11 completely,the windows might still become corrupted. The security and stability of your PC is compromised. Such consequences should be bore in mind when going ahead with this decision.
Personally speaking, I haven’t come across much cases of this nature where installing windows 11 on unsupported PCs ended up being a major problem.
However, I always advise my users to avoid keeping critical data for the first few weeks in their pc so that it may not be lost even if the pc malfucntions.
The choice is entirely yours. And life is full of surprises, right? Trust your guts and be comfortable with the risk of your choices. so, before you decide and understand how to install windows 11 on unsupported hardware follow these tips:
MAKE SURE YOUR PC IS UNSUPPORTED
YES, there is a chance, though small, that your pc may actually be compatible.
If you have windows 10 already installed and are unsure whether your pc meets the minimum requirements or not, simply download the pc health check assistant app form and run it.
MY PC IS INCOMPATIBLE?
If it shows your pc is incompatible, first you should enable TPM 2.0 and Secure boot. I cannot really provide the exact guide to enable them as it is done in the BIOS setup, the access to which varies in different pcs according to their manufacturers.
However, I can provide you with instructions that are most likely to help. To access BIOS setup, readily press F1,F10,F11,F12 or F8. If the screen shows the BIOS setup, simply open the security menu and enable TPM 2.0 and secure boot. (Secure boot may be found under the BOOT menu.)
- Select “Save changes and exit.”
- Go ahead and try downloading window 11 now.
HOW INSTALL WINDOW 11 ON UNSUPPORTED HARDWARE
To be able to download windows 11 on your pc, you need to do a quick go around in your windows registery.
A little warning beforehand, editing your windows registry is risky and can corrupt or malfunction your windows if you add a wrong entry.
It is advised you use a registry cleaner app to automatically backup or restore your registry and not to risk some problem.
Now, you must follow these steps as mentioned:
- Press win+R to run the dialog box.
- Run window registry by typing in “regedit”.
- Move to this location: \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\MoSetup (It is advised you simply copy paste this location.)
- Select the Mosetup folder.
- Right click on the empty space within the right panel and select “DWORD 32-bit” option. A new entry will be created.
- Name this entry “AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU”.
- Double click on it.
- Select value as 1.
IF YOUR PC DOESN’T SUPPORTS TPM AND SECURE BOOT,
Well, then you can follow these steps to get this solved:
- Run windows registry as mentioned above.
- Right click on the Setup folder.
- Select “New>Key” to create a new entry.
- Name this entry “LABCONFIG”.
- Select Labconfig and right click on the empty space.
- Select DWORD 32-bit from the new option.
- Name this entry “BYPASSTPMCheck”.
- Double click on it and change its value to “00000001.”
- Repeat step 5 and 6 to create a new entry.
- Name this entry “BypassSecurebootcheck”.
- Change its value to 00000001 as well.
With this done, you can go ahead and download windows 11. The formerly disturbing TPM or CPU limitation will not bother you anymore.
